I picked up one of the aluminum bolt action pens a few weeks ago. I must say I am over the moon with the quality of this item. it feel great, writes great, and looks great. I work in the oil field and need a solid robust pen that will work in all weather and conditions. If you are hunting a proper pen that will work these are in the top of the list.

I ordered the aluminum bolt action pen and I must say it’s a great pen, writes very smooth fits very well in my pocket and the snappy action is great for fidgeting I’ll be looking into getting the carbon fiber option eventually. Do if your looking for your next pen I recommend the bastion bolt action pen you won’t be disappointed.

Works out very well. It’s my new daily carry pen for work and the blue color automatically lets me know what to sign with. A really nice pen and especially for the price.

Lovely pen! Writes very well but I will add a space pen cartridge at some point. Added to my EDC where no pen had ever been!!!

I use this thing to write everything from parts lists, to addresses, and even doodles on cardboard boxes. The coating is strong and durable, it’s held up after being shoved in a pocket with other tools for 2 weeks now! 10/10 would recommend!

I use it everyday and like the simplicity and quality of the unit. I have the bolt action pencil (2 carbon fibre) and love then all. Well made and available in several colors. Accessories are available as well.

Great pen for a great price. As this is my first Bolt Action pen it's wonderful. Well balanced, perfect size, writes smooth as can be, and the custom text turned out perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I have an extremely large pen collection, but the Bastion Bolt has become my top writing instrument. I am in awe of this pen. I highly recommend it to all.

It is difficult to hold onto because the aluminum barrel is so smooth, making it with some texture for added grip would be a great improvement. Otherwise, great pen.

I like the bolt action. I like the pocket clip. Writes well with roller ball.

I was leery about ordering this pen but now that I have it, I'm glad that I did. I use it everyday at my job and I have had several people question on where I had got it from. Thanks again on a great product.

Smooth and no smear

This pen is the lightest in weight of all the Bastion Pens. For looks I like the Stainless Steel Pen. But for those bothered by the weight of the Stainless pen the Aluminum Bastion Pen solves that problem and has all the quality of build and engineering that makes the pens so great!

This pen is exceptionally well designed. The pen is well balanced and smooth writing. This is my got to pen for every day use.

Love the bolt action. Every time a person uses my pen they do a double take of it. And they enjoy retracting the pen before handing it back. Smooth writing, perfect weight. This is a pen with substance!

Like the bolt action over traditional pens wish it was compatible with other pen refills other than just Parker refills

I’m in commercial sales and do a lot of writing this is by far the best writing pen I’ve ever used, it’s also comfortable in your hand, and have even had a few customers say how nice it looks.

Writes well, great design and heavy. I like fine tips and knew this wasn’t going to fall there, but wanted to purchase a well made pen. I’m a pen hound, anyway.This pen did not fail on that expectation, and I’ll keep an eye on it, until I’m ready to purchase another. Nice heft to the stainless pens and the aluminum ones with engraving turned out great.

This pen is worth every dollar spent. Super solid feel, the bolt action is phenominal, and the writing is smooth. The clip slides on and off easily, but feesl very secure. The slight texture to the aluminum feels great.

This is my second pen and I hope to add more to my collection! The pen works smoothly and gets better with time. It's very well machined and the finish is very high quality. It has a flawless, even, color and texture. Size and weight are just right. It's a great EDC pen and I reccomend using the Parker Quink Gel ink cartridges for a bold silky smooth writing experience!

I have now purchased the all ss, ss and carbon fiber, and aluminum pens from bastion. As long as you're ok with the weight all are of top quality.

This is my first bolt action pen. I really like the bolt action, which is substatial. Those looking for an easy mechanism may find it too stiff. The size and weight and balance are excellent. It is nice that it accepts Parker-style refills, and the included refill writes well. I swapped the refill for a Parker gel ink refill, and it works very well.

The color, the weight, the performance and the quick delivery were great. I would recommend this pen. The only issue was I ordered an extra blue ball point and a blue gel refill but recieved 2 ballpoint refills.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pen especially for the money. It has become my new every day pen for work.

The Aluminum jet black pen is light and just as good as the stainless steel. These pens are amazing.

The aluminum red bastion pen is excellent. It presents with a smoother action than the stainless i believe as well as being lighter, and the price is right. It also writes great same as the others, I fully recommend it!

The aluminum pens are just right for me – I can use them comfortably all day long. I also like that the refills last a long time – much longer than with some other pen brands (short refill life is the Achilles heel of some otherwise nice pens). Was very happy when the blue pens were back in stock; I really like my red aluminum pen but love the blue color and ordered one right away.

These pens are great at a great price point. Heavy duty can be carried and dropped no problem . I have the Stsinless version as well and it’s awesome too.

Beautiful pen, and amazingly weighted, but after two weeks of light (office) use, there are several scratches in the paint.

i really like the pen i rec'd. it's the aluminum. i do think the circumference could stand to be reduced slightly. it's a little too big around to be super comfortable.

Just got it’s strong and writes well I unfortunately missed my 10% coupon till it was too late but the spring catch is extremely strong looks great too

After getting the stainless steel version and liking it so much, I immediately ordered the red aluminum version. I love it too and the light weight is perfect for shirt pockets, etc
